How does the Online Program  work?  

The Online Program (Self-Paced) is a comprehensive high school program for youths and adults who require in depth instruction and knowledge.  This program is perfect for home schooled high school aged youths.  It is also an excellent program for adults who for one reason or another weren't able to graduate from high school in the conventional way, and even for high school drop-outs or at risk youths who can now finally earn a  high school diploma. This program offers you a second chance to rebuild your educational gap. 

The Online Program allows you to graduate from High School at your own pace very effectively.  It is comprised of learning modules, assignments, quizzes and  timed assessments. And great news because North American Academy is a private school, you are conferred a High School Diploma rather than a GED!  

In Module One you will be pretested with an assessment tool to determine your pregraduate level.   You must earn a 2.0 GPA (C) or higher in order to graduate from this program.  As a private institution, North American Academy does not confer GED's. The student will earn a proficiency high school diploma at completion of all the required course work and assessments.  Upon enrollment, you will  gain access to the program so you can begin immediately.  

Important Things to Know

A common misconception, is that a person can forgo 4 years of high school, and just take a test and graduate in 24 hours.  The Online Online Program (self-paced) does not replace 4 years of high school.  With this program your knowledge base will be highly enriched and amplified. There is quite a bit of work to be completed, this is not a rapid pace program.

Most Colleges and universities will require you to take an entrance exam such as the SAT or ACT.
